Satya Wacana Christian University (SWCU) got another achievement in the National University English Debating Championship (NUEDC), which was held at the Hotel Le Beringin (5/24-26). This competition was joined by 28 upper educational institutions that consisted of 6 state upper educational institutions and 22 private upper educational institutions.In the Central Java Level Student English Language Debate Competition, Dwitya Ari N and Aditya P. Saputra Wibisono, both Language and Literature Faculty (FBS) students, succeeded to come in 2nd place. In the final round, the SWCU debate team squared off against the Diponegoro University team, which in the end came out on top. Meanwhile, the 3rd place winner was the State University Semarang team. Besides winning 2nd place in the Debate Contest, Rio Giovana Setiawan, who is also an FBS student, succeeded to come in 3rd place as an adjudicator. 1st and 2nd places were won by State University Semarang and Diponegoro University. In addition, another FBS student, Ivana Mary Puspitasari, also got the honor to become one of the adjudicators in the debate competition. Earlier this year, Ivana succeeded to break into the top 30 best adjudicators in the Indonesia Varsity English Championship (IVED).
